Jameson

Introduction

Jameson 18 Year Old Master Selection, is the Master Blender’s hand-picked selection of very old Jameson Irish Whiskey, aged in oak casks for at least 18 years. This whiskey is a supreme example of the Jameson tradition of maturing whiskey in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. From the finest whiskeys in the warehouses, our Master Blender has hand-picked very old whiskeys which have been matured in sherry casks for at least 18 years.

Rich, complex and truly rare – only limited stocks of this exceptional Jameson 18 Years Old Master Selection are available. Thus, each bottle is individually numbered. It is a whiskey to savour on great occasions, or for those who like to collect, this is a rarity not to miss.

Jameson 18 Year Old Master Selection was awarded Import Blend of the Year in the Malt Advocate New York Whisk(e)y Fest. The USA leading publication Food & Wine also awarded it Best Irish Whiskey of the Year in their 2003 Spirits of the Year roundup. And it was awarded Bronze in the International Wine and Spirits competition. Winner of Double Gold at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Product tasting notes

Nose: Muted sherry notes, aromatic oils, touch of wood, spicy, toffee.

Taste: Wonderfully mellow and smooth, a mouth full of complex flavours – fudge/toffee, spice, hints of wood and leather, a gentle sherry nuttiness, vanilla – all coming together to give a unique taste sensation.

Finish: A long lingering finish carries the theme of wood, spice and toffee right through to the end.

How to enjoy the brand

As all premium whiskeys can be consumed ‘neat’, but for a better tasting the recommendation from our Master Blender is to add a drop of water to dilute the alcohol and so release the flavours.
